As I mentioned previously, I've been doing a good bit of holiday crafting. Above is one of my projects - a couple of handmade trees for our mantle.
For the tree on the left, I used burlap to cover a paper mache tree form, and then embellished it with some vintage green lace, rick-rack, and some knotted thread. A few buttons finished off the top.
For the tree on the right, I used this tutorial, covering the tree with paper petals. It was fairly easy, though a tad time consuming. I had planned to make several of these, but I may just stick to one per year.
To finish it off, I wrapped a scrap of vintage red and white polka dot fabric, and added a few buttons.
And those charming characters among the trees? They're from Lost and Found Studio, right here in Richmond.
Today, we're off to enjoy the snow. Happy Friday to you!
I think I will be adding christmas tree shapes to my shopping list. I already bought a wreath form because of your earlier post!
Now if only I had more time this year.
I can't believe there are only 8 more days left and I have to work at least 1 of them!
These are cool.
